Her story

Soft grey fur, copper eyes, and all the time in the world

Kiki arrived on a cold March morning in 2012, the smallest of a litter of four, with copper eyes too big for her face. She spent her first night inside a slipper and decided the house was hers by morning.

For fourteen years she ruled from the black leather couch. She never begged, never rushed, and never missed a sunbeam. She greeted guests with one slow blink, and anyone who got one felt chosen.

She loved tuna flakes on a saucer, the cardboard box the new fridge came in, and the window with the best view of the pigeons. In her last months she traded the couch for a warm basket by the radiator. She passed peacefully at home, purring.
